Something Beautiful

This brief video is aimed at counteracting a lot of the fundamentalist ugliness we see in the world, from lost, bigoted minorities of all faiths, and replacing blind dogma with something beautiful…something based on our own ways of seeing the world and the love that is right in front of our faces.

NB: Narrator and coproducer Nathan Phelps, an atheist and GLBT rights advocate, is the son of Fred Phelps– yes, Westboro Baptist Church cofounder Fred Phelps.

NB x2: I am an atheist. However, I have friends of all faiths and I am well aware that the Westboro Baptist Church, the KKK, Nazis, the Spanish Inquisition, the Paris attackers and their sympathizers,  militants or terrorists of any kind, woman-haters and holy-book literalists do not form the majority of believers– just a very loud and scary minority. It is their literal, antihumanist interpretation of dogma that needs…to…go.

Watch the video here. You’ll be glad you did.
