If I was a man, would you have…

…addressed me as “Sweetums McGoolihan” when you couldn’t remember my name?

…grabbed my ass to get my attention when I was blocking your view of the TV, and then made a lame joke to excuse yourself?

…interrupted a conversation I was having with friends to come on to me, when I’d already said I wasn’t interested?

…taken anything short of “Go **** yourself!” as a come-on?

…censored my chest? Apparently not, because this morning at the gym a guy my age was  hanging out in the public hallway in nothing but a speedo bottom and no one batted an eye. If I as a woman had done that, the the cops would have been called.

I am a feminist, but until recently I used to think fellow feminists who used words like ‘microagression’ were going too far, splitting hairs, getting upset over nothing. Now I fully understand, and I’m pissed.

N. B. These are real incidents, that happened to me, each one involving a different guy, and spread over the last month- month and a half.
