I’ll be home for Christmas…

For the first time in at least five years, I’ll be home– in the States– for Christmas.

Last year, Mom and I were in Haiti.

In 2012, Mom came to Quebec City.

In 2011, I was living in France and Mom and I were in Barcelona.

In 2010…that was the last time I was back there. I remember deciding to go to a holiday party with Roger at the last minute in Quebec City and then having to bus Quebec City–>Montreal–>Ottawa–>Syracuse–>New York City–>Baltimore–>shoot me. The things we do for love.

This year I’ll be celebrating in Baltimore with Mom, my aunt (her sister) who I rarely see, my 93-year-old grandmother and my Christmas-hating (but Christmas-dinner-loving) father.

I’m making it a bit easier for myself this time though, carpooling to Montreal and then taking a flight to Baltimore. Since I work Sunday 12-21 and Sunday 12-28, I can’t stay long, so I like to say I’m swooping down like Santa, bringing a suitcase full of presents!

What are you guys doing for Christmas?
