FGM in the Gambia

Here is an example of exemplary refugee-issues reporting, the kind I wish I could do. This journalist interviews survivors of FGM from the Gambia who are in the process of appealing rejected asylum requests in Britain, and then actually goes to the Gambia to see if the situation is as they have described. As you’ll read, their stories hold up.


It brings to mind the http://sites.uclouvain.be/ejlblogs/etu093/?p=863″>Guinean women who I interviewed in Brussels. I hope they found peace, whatever happened to them….
