Time Flies…

This morning I went to the Jean-Jaurès farmers’ market near my house, and smelled Christmas. What I actually smelled was roast pork and turkeys turning on spits. The holidays are coming! Thanksgiving is in less than a week (no idea what I’m doing), my mother is coming in exactly a month, we get paid next Friday and the next payday after that will be Christmas. I had my kids make Thanksgiving dinner menus in class…their idea of the perfect family feast is foie gras, tajine, steak frites and chocolate cake.

I have enough freelance assignments to make my head spin (and, one would hope, my wallet grow). And I’m still lamentably behind on my writing. But that should all change in 48 hours.

Have to sign off now…I’m going on a four-hour bus trek to pick up the laptop!
